Today is Papa's Birthday!! Bought his fav mango cake already. And I have no idea how old is he when the person asked for the number of candles!?. My counting for my parents' age stops when Mum is 40 and Dad's 45. Because they look the same, still young :) But i didn't realize that they have aged till I look at them closely. Time really flies. I hope they will be always healthy, young and happy. love them so much. ^^

Work today was fruitful and fun for me! I like it when I'm so busy and time pass super fast!

Therefore, I'm charging myself tonight for tmr's shopping trip with Sis! Yay! I love shopping!

not only look forward to tmr's shopping spree with Sis, also tue's dance practice! Competition date is getting round the corner soon. Excited but I don't want everything to end so fast.

Can't wait to drive again after quite some time. Hope that my skills are still intact and I need to revise everything again. Have to spare time every week to go for driving lessons. If not I can just drag on and on without getting my driving license. sianz.

Baby started later than me and had already passed and gotten his license. I'm such a slow pok and a failure. zzz.. Hope that I can have super good luck like him on the exam day.

Dance today was fun fun fun! Started to arrange the positioning and most of the props are ready. Cool.. I just love dancing in a group :) Can't wait for the next training! hehe..

Back to work tmr.. sianz, hais. A&E tends to be crowded now after the public holiday. So many people falling sick now.. Stress to work outside now. Need to face the public, kena people scold and complain still must tolerate, talk nicely and smile at them. hais.. boil sia.
I always like to work in treatment area. But not so much now because of unhappy & stressful incidences. Patient's relatives can be really F sometimes. :} some really damn ridiculous, demanding and unreasonable. Really have to be thick skinned and take things easy or else I confirm will have hypertension sooner or later. Haha.

I just pray hard that tmr will be smooth in the afternoon for me. pls. pls.
I start to dread going to work now. I need to find back my interest & passion. I need my motivation back!

Meeting gf in the day. Dance at night.
At last a day to relax and get away from work. When A&E turns busy & crowded, everyone ( includes the patients, their families, doctors and nurses) became easily frustrated and angry. I dislike this part the most. Esp when your colleague shouts or glare at you. But a newbie have to always keep her head low and obey instructions :( no choice.
All I can do is to ventilate out after work by telling Mum, Sis or Baby. But I know sometimes in such a busy and rushing setting, everyone wants things to be done fast. That accounts for the bad remarks, tone & expressions made. & I have to get used to it and don't take things to heart easily.

But today is my rest day. Not to think about work. Just happy things :)

Today was fine. alright. Just that standbys & cases started to come after 0830pm. Pity the night staff. I'm obs I/C tmr!! Omg! First time being an in-charge. Stress man. But I'm relieved when I saw Aunty Janet together with me in obs! so happy. I don't feel so scared and lost with her because she's always so motherly and patient. :) Love it.

I'm afternoon shift in resus 1 tmr. Kind of used to be in the place I fear the most initially already. Sometimes I even find it better than outside. What motivates me to work in resus, is to draw people's blood and set plugs in their veins. Practice really makes perfect. I can say that I'm skillful in doing such things now. Haha. And it gives me a sense of achievement & shiokness to see blood coming out from veins (means success) and satisfaction when patients tell me that my skills are good that is why they dont feel any or much pain. Hehe..
I hope resus will be ok tmr. Pls give me a smooth shift. thank u.

Many things happened this while. But I'm glad that things are settled and moving on smoothly & happily. I just wish it stays like this. :) I am really xin fu.
Life has not been plain and boring with dance. My passion and favourite hobby! Competition is around the end of Nov and I'm excited! I just want trainings to go on and on... Enjoy every moment when I dance with my friends. And I'm happy that Mum, Sis and Baby are coming down to support me on the actual day at Marine Barrage! Today is not a very good day for me because I did not do things right. I did not meet my own expectations. Not being able to really function well and get the appropriate things needed during emergency. I just stood there and held the patient. Just able to do the junior stuffs which is below expectations. Not being much of a help but a hindrance. :(
Nobody scolded or blame me, But I just felt unhappy and disappointed on myself.
Lucky i got someone always there for me to share all these problems. thank you mummy.

i guess i should take a break and relax. Head back to work with a fresh mind, confidence and motivation. Setbacks are normal at the beginning. But it's just part and parcel of the process. I should be able to brace through every ups and downs in order to become stronger and competent.
I need guidance, encouragement and motivation right now.

A cooling morning to start the day with. I'm going to work alone at Fever later. Being the in-charge somemore makes me so STRESS. I'm still not so familiar with that area yet. But i guess that's the first step I have to take. to gain more confidence and get HELP. I hope that there will be someone nice enough to help me. On the otherhand, fever is a cosy and much more relaxing place to work in. so i guess it's suitable for me now when i come that thing. Haha.

The deep cut on my finger and loss of consciousness for more than 20 seconds really freaked me and my poor sis out! I'm so mentally traumatized. I should not overestimate my own health.
I should really take good care of my own health. I can't afford to fall sick and become weak because I'm working in such a fast paced and stressful environment. I need to be strong and alert at all times. This bad incident really made me reflect a lot in my own health & lifestyle. I feel so guilty for not treating my body well. :( But I'm glad that nothing major happened to me when i fainted except for some bums on my head. and all thanks to my sister for being there for me at the point of time. Touched by Jazzie~ Love her!
Also happy that I had concerns from my Family, Baby & my Friends.

First time taking plane there. Tiger Airways- convenient and cheap.
Really dont wanna recall the times when we took a coach in to Malaysia. The journey was so damn long and torturing. although it's very cheap. we still brought blankets, pillows, jackets.. damn ley chey. I'm so glad that there's Tiger Airways. (:

Malaysia trip was alright. But i won't say that it's the best one cause of some particular reason.
First time taking a plane to and fro. It was exciting and convenient. Nice time having to see my relatives there and indulging in the kampong lifestyle. ^^

But it all ended not so well because of a small little mistake made. Caused us some money and dampened all our moods. It's really a lesson learnt.
There wont be a third time anymore.

my blog is rotting like shit.
and someone keeps urging me to update.

So i'll begin with my prcp.
so far it had been smooth for me. Lucky to be posted to a nice aircon ward with good staffs there to help as well as patients. i kinda like working there already. getting used to their routines and able to ''act'' like a staff nurse. Hahaa. i just hope i can end this prcp smoothly without any probs.
except one when i fell and need to write an incident report. :(

Cny is coming! whoooo! in a week's time. YAY! here comes celebrations and gathering! i like!
i can eat alot of good food, get alot of hongbaos, gamble and win money, wear nice nice, take alot photos, enjoy the time with my family.. i like i like. im so looking forward to it!
But Baby will have to study for his exams during the cny celebrations. poor thing. Why must schools schedule the semestral exams after cny?!. Cant even enjoy our cny that comes once a yr. It's mood dampening la. Baby hav fun first then study k. dun last min jiu hao.

Aunt's birthday is coming. gona get her a gift and send it to her shop personally before my shift. I bet she will be very surprised and touched. hahaha. Im guilty cos last yr's present was quite cui :( this yr must make up for it. :}

the lunch was pathetic, dinner was awesome. A very big contrast. Overall, it was still fun.

The afternoon sun is so hot and scorching that I had to sleep in the bus with shades on. (that's my Mum's shades btw. Mummy is the best cos she sacrificed her shades.)

PRCP schedule is finally out today. I'm so glad that i got into the ward i always wished for! It's an air-conditioned surgical ward. It's cleaner than medical wards too. That's the great thing about ward 39. Haha. Unfortunately, i dont have any friends joining me in that ward. :( I have to start making new friends again. Especially the one from group 21. as her/his schedule is almost the same as mine. I hope that person is a girl. :)

and i think my clinical instructor would be Ms serene again? But im hoping for Mr. Syed too. :}

I'm quite looking forward to the night shifts. cool to me. haha

But i have to work on afternoon shifts for 3 Saturdays. Omg! I'm the only unlucky one to work till 930 pm on 3 Saturdays la. so suay sia. Haiss..

but it's good enough for me to get into my ward choice already.

But it's abit stress being the leader. I'm scared im nt up to my ci's expectations. Later do wrong things, din set good example, kena again. Responsibilities are heavier.

But i can pull through this. i will.

Once the clock strikes 12 midnight, it will be my 34 monthsary with my love. Happy 10th Baby!

i know that this month wasn't very smooth for us. - Quarrels, unhappiness, sadness & misunderstandings. But we still managed to clear things up and move on happily. & am glad that No matter what happens, we never ever gave up on each other :) Thank you for bearing me for another month, for loving me and being so protective, for giving in to me and making me happy always, for caring my everything. Thanks b. I will continue to improve and change for u and for us. i love you.

Today's my last day of OT posting! time passed really fast.

i'm glad to observe quite alot of surgeries in real life. it's really interesting and i find our body very amazing!. I really din expect myself to be so ''brave'' to view the entire surgery. I thought i would puke, faint or become weak. But it was the opposite. I felt very curious and went close to see how they operate. (Still have to be in a tip toe position to see) Haha

we took photos with our clinical instructor and am waiting for Amanda to upload.

For now, i dislike being in the operating theatre. it's boring and i felt trapped inside. Not much of freedom of movement because it's already very troublesome to change out of the OT attire just to go down to eat or buy food. then changin back again before stepping in. Really tedious and rushing la. haisssss

lucky it's just a 4 days attachment in OT. thank god fri is a public holiday! shiok

hoping tmr will be better. much more interesting to see.

still have to write out the long long reflection again. sian and maybe presentation too.

She was admitted into hospital this morning because she fell again at home. Twice.

Sent in by ambulance and admitted into ward now. Doctor says there's a clot in her brain. and the family are deciding whether to operate anot. because they will be risks for a very old person. Plus i dont tink she would wan to go for that operation. Old people dislike all these procedures.

But i do not know how big are the consequences if she refused the operation. Im plain worried now. This must be a difficult time for her and the family. Putting myself in her shoes, she must be hopeless now. not wanting to burden the family. Having to stay in the hospital, an unfamiliar environment must have made her feel so bad and uncomfortable. A&E posting was fun and exciting! Hw i wish that we can be posted longer there compared to the wards. Haha Coming up next week, will be my OT posting. gona shop for the ugly big crocs shoes this weekend. I'm having mixed feelings regarding my OT posting now- kind of curious and scared. But i'll pray hard that i wont faint or lose my appetite during this OT posting because i did lost abit of appetite when i'm stationed at the A&E resus room. Just cant cope with the stress and scene there.

i wont be selfish, i just need 1 or 2 small operation cases for me to get thru next week.

Tmr is the last day of my A&E posting. i kinda like the job scope inside. So im abit sad that tmr's the last day :(( Probably shall consider this as one of my choice to work in future? hahas But im scared i cant cope with this fast paced department. i scared it will be too xiong for me.

Today came an unreasonable ignorant china lady who make a fuss and refused to pay her daughter's consultation fees. It was quite a show to me when she argued with the doctors. But she's really the unreasonable one. and it's really hard to handle such difficult relatives. End up she left without paying. Her daughter was like so timid. Didnt even dare to speak up. Her mother probably too fierce already. pity her la.

my whole body is aching. legs suffered blisters because of the new shoes. i feel weak and tired. stomach felt weird. feel even more uncomfortable when that thing came. i guess my body hasnt adapt to the working hours and environment yet. this condition happened during my first attachment before. At that time, i really had the thought of quitting nursing.

i hope i will be stronger and feel better soon. I'm very thankful to my family for their concern. Especially my mum. Ever since i started attachment, she has been showing her concern to my health & work and is helping me as much as she can. Mummy is really the best! I'm very thankful and touched by her.

i'll blog again when i feel better.

after that, sushi tei for lunch/dinner. it's my first time trying. really liked the spicy miso ramen. the soup is thick and nice. really suited my taste because im a soup person. haha Service is good also. next time shall bring Baby there to try ;)

Sunday - steamboat + bbq at the turf club with Family.

Food was so-so lah. Soup became nicer when Mum added in herbs. Not much variety also.

worse thing is, i sweat alot and my arms suffered. because of the squirting oil. Pain~

But the windy trip back was soothing and shiok. i love to sit at the back of the lorry. enjoying the scenery and breeze~ no motorbike nvm. lorry also can. haha

today is my last day of school. I'm relieved and happy :)

no more presentations, no more arguments with groupmates, no more project meetings, no more lab skills, no more lectures and tutorials. just left with semestral exam and attachments. what a relief. because i dun quite like groupwork. never fail to have arguments and unhappiness which affect friendship. i thought this year could be a smooth one for us. But ended up like that. which is why it's better to not be in the same group as ur friend. things wont turn out ugly or bad. but we can't rewind the time, so leave it as it is ba. disappointed is the word to describe.

anyway, we took quite a few photos after our last lecture. gona miss the lecture hall, tutorial room, library, e-plaza, canteens.. can't imagine that i'm graduating soon. I'm going into the workforce soon. i hate that stressful feeling. i dunwan to work. i wan to just enjoy my life as a student. but time dun allow me to. have to clench my teeth tight and move on.

Attended baby's brother ORD Parade this evening. smart uniform, cool drills. I like! But i hate the scorching sun! so hot, no fans provided also. looking at their marching and drills make me recall back the memories when I'm in Red cross. i'm abit embarrassed to admit that I was in red cross before because that cca was one of the lousiest uniform group in our sec skl. and I joined that plainly because it's rumored to be very relaxing and slack. HAHA

but i'm also proud that i came from a uniform group. cos i get to show off to Baby how macho and smart i am in the past ^^ hehe

Exams left with Nursing lab theory tmr and practical next thursday. By then, i will be free. No need to study so intensively for my exams. So stressful and tiring.

I miss my friends.. I wanna have fun and talk to them.

I must score the 2nd time. to pull up the marks.

Not enough time and the questions confused me. Didn't quite understand what it wants? and wrote the wrong answers at the wrong questions. stupid sia. I felt angry at myself because I did memorised but underestimated the questions. argh stupid fool!

What's done has been done. Lucky there's another chance to score for this module. Gona score high. to pull up everything.

tmr no exam. Phew a relief. But i need to go bac skl for project meeting :( Dont feel like going out tmr. Wanna just stay at home and revise for friday's paper. But no choice. at least i get to meet baby in skl awhile after my meeting. so that's an advantage. hehehe

3111 not very hard nor easy. But one of the saq really surprised me la. I didn't know it will come out in the saq and I didn't really memorise. So end up writing crap. Hope I get at least a few marks for that part.

3112's revision is much better and successful than 3111. So I hope i can do better for my 3112.

I just downloaded alot of games to play. Alot of Dash and Mania. It's fun but maybe not to the guys. Cos Baby find it boring and repititive. But it tests ur quick response and multi tasking ok. I'm pro at it :} Hehehe

This is the first time I don't feel so stressed up for exams. I like this feeling but I'm scared I slack too much and didn't revise enough. But so far so good. I will DO MY BEST!

Dad took off tmr. We are bringing my cousins out somewhere to have fun.

We wanted to go to the beach. but Dad make the final decision. So just follow lor.

Sometimes they are very sweet, nice and obedient. But sometimes they are abit irritating, stubborn and naughty. Really need alot of patience when it comes to dealing with children.

Uncle gave me a new earpiece today. It comes just nice because my old one is going to spoil. My uncle is very very nice. He gave me an ipod for birthday. he gave my sis an i touch. he sold us a mac book com at a very cheap price.. It's so good to have a relative who sells electronic devices. Hehehe.

Baby watched The A Team and had steamboat with his Bros today. So shiok hor? I wanna join in the fun but I shy la. hahaha I have little time for Baby now because I have to bring my cousins around. So be patient and wait till next week ok bii ? :}

I feel kinda relaxed and relieved now. Because I can sleep more, go gai gai and eat good food.
